Office of the Controller

The mission of the Controller's Office is to provide accountability for University resources and appropriate dissemination of financial information to maximize the use of University resources in compliance with legislation, Federal and State policies and procedures, Board of Governors, Appalachian State University, and external funding sources.

The Controller's Office is a division of Business Affairs and consists of three separate functional areas; Accounting/Data Control, Payroll, and Special Funds. The Controller, Assistant Controller, and Special Funds area are located on the third floor of the BB Dougherty Administration Building, Suite 340. The Accounting and Payroll divisions are located on State Farm Road in the Administration Annex along with Procurement Services.
